Japan Aviation Electronics Industry, Ltd. (JAE) completed the construction of a new building (B Building) at the 2nd Plant of ポーカー ネット, Ltd. (Shinjo-shi, Yamagata. President: Shunichi Naganuma), a production site for its Connector Business. The construction project was launched in April 2022. A completion ceremony was held today.
Based on the growth strategy outlined in the Medium-Term Management Plan for the JAE Group, we aim to strengthen our global supply chain while continuing to rebuild production systems to ensure growth in the business with connectors for the automotive and industrial equipment and infrastructure markets.
ポーカー ネット aims to establish an “environmentally friendly plant” by moving forward with the introduction of energy-efficient equipment, and to contribute to the local community as a site for “monozukuri and hitozukuri (production and human resource development)” that provides a good working environment.

About the new building and ポーカー ネット

■Core production site for high current, high voltage connectors
In view of expanding production of high current, high voltage connectors required for EVs (a field expected to grow in the future), we introduced and put into operation stamping and molding machines which are among the largest in our Group. Going forward, we will accumulate technology through mass production, and will make ポーカー ネット a production base that will lead the Group in production technology for high current, high voltage connectors.

■Utilization of 100% renewable energy derived power
All electric power used in the entire ポーカー ネット (including the 1st Plant) is derived from renewable energy sources. In addition, we will realize an environmentally friendly plant by promoting energy-saving initiatives such as real-time visualization of electricity consumption per production line and automatic control of the number of compressors in operation.

■Site for “monozukuri and hitozukuri (production and human resource development)”
As the main production site in the Connector Business, ポーカー ネット has accumulated manufacturing technologies for molding, connector assembly, etc., with the stamping technology at their core. Currently, more than 300 certified technicians work at the company. Also, 12 employees have been certified as “Monozukuri Meister” (“Production Master”) under a scheme promoted by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Furthermore, the company contributes to local development of human resources and community revitalization through classes at schools and on-site training at small and medium-sized enterprises. With the completion of the new building, we will further promote the accumulation of manufacturing technologies and human resource development efforts.

Strengthening of ポーカー ネットroduction infrastructure

In order to achieve medium-term growth, ポーカー ネットlans to make continuous investments on production facilities and infrastructure and enhance production capacity.
Based on this plan, in the Connector Business, we will enhance our production capacity, especially for the fast-growing EV and industrial equipment markets. At the same time, we will continue to enhance the production capabilities at three of our domestic sites: the Akishima Plant, JAE Hirosaki, and ポーカー ネット, making them the core sites for the Group. In addition, amidst global concerns regarding risks to the supply chain, we will make the transition to dual-site (overseas and domestic) production by enhancing domestic production capacities, and will work to expand domestic production of automotive and industrial connectors, thus further strengthening the supply chain.
